Thought I would start a thread for us Meanie owners with pics of our bikes and photos/stories of places we have been.
Here is a photo of my 2008 Meanie being delivered last week and one of the bike.
Anyone care to share?

Here's Mine
I've only had it about 10 days, so the only real adventures have been the ride back from Utah (where I bought it) and the daily commute to work. The only thing I've done to it so far is change the oil and put gas in the tank. The previous owner added the windshield, backrest, saddlebags and engine guards. It's an 07 and only had 2,000 miles when I bought it.

Frank, if you ever make it to Huntington Beach, be sure to try Fiesta Grill on 17th. very popular with the locals. the carnitas are outstanding. can't wait to move back there, after my time is done here.

Hay Great new thread. I am a new Mean Streak owner. Found a 2007 SE with less than 600 miles.

Here is my "new to me" bike. I have ordered a Mempis Shaid's Speed Demon Windshield. I am also working on a mod that will allow me to install quick release saddlebags.

Weekend Adventure
Went through Death Valley this weekend then ended up going through the RedRock loop a few times. I have to say that I'm really impressed with the way the Mean Streak handles the twistys.
I took the windshield off because I really didn't like the way it made the front end look. The windblast is bearable without it until about 90mph.
Here's a pic from the RedRock Overlook:

Nice Bike
I'm interested in your quick release mod for the saddlebags. I would really like to get a set of bigger bags for trips and the ability to switch them out without messing with the mounting brackets would be great.

So far my mean streak has not ventured more than 50 miles from the house. I have more comfortable rides for that purpose. I sure do like modding the bike though.

Can you spot the Meanie amongst the Harleys?
Went out for another ride. I was the only non-Harley in the group.
I don't think I'll ever get used to scraping hard parts, I've put over 2,700 miles on it and I still get uneasy every time I hear metal scraping on the pavement. I know it's just the pegs, but I just don't like the sound. The bike is so much more capable then the clearance allows it to be (sorry, rant over).

A friend and I rode our bikes out to the coast in memory of those who have sacrificed so much to allow us to have the freedoms that we have today. That definitely is not lost on me.
Here are just a few photos of the trip.

I think that these are the first pics of the Mean Streak that I've seen. I really like the general looks of that bike! I too, wonder why it is no longer made, cuz I think I'd like to have one.

Some of the parts are still hanging on the wall behind the bike. If it isn't raining I'm out riding and we are in a drought at the moment
Also in a heat wave so working out in the shop is really low on the priority list. I will get some photos when I can with all the mods.
